Drain

Usually when I see a prompt word for any form of creative expression, my mind skips about in a dozen different directions. I could do this… or maybe this… or why not… ? Prompts can take us to so many places!

With today’s prompt, however  — drain — I knew immediately what I would draw. We’ve all seen drain snakes, not the urban legend sort, but the plumbing kind that root out all kinds of evils, especially hair.

So, for today, here is my Monsterus uncloggus reposing in the bathroom having just finished his job. It will take him a while to digest all that nasty human hair he pulled out of the drain.

Inktober 21 Drain

Yes, it’s a dirty job, but, hey! Somebody — or something — has to do it, right? Fortunately this monster loves chomping on hair. Monsterus uncloggus is a great monster to have hiding beneath the bathroom sink.

EDUCATIONAL INFO: Did you know that we have between 100,000 and 150,000 hairs on our head?

Gee, I can’t help but wonder who counted them all. At least we can be sure that my little drain monster will never go hungry!
