Sometimes maybe we deliberately need to make bad art.
This woodland scene — still unfinished — represents the feelings I had as I painted, feelings that I’m following a path that’s leading me deeper into impressionism, leading me toward a deeper understanding of what art is to me, giving me a deeper awareness of my own creative spirit.
What is art for? We all know that art can certainly be a bit of a mystery.
For me, impressionist painting means following what I feel, going wherever the painting takes me.
Not all art has to be “fine art”. We can create “fun art”, too.
Why not appreciate the good things in our art? Why not see the potential…and not make such a fuss about the awful parts?
