Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving (2)Just a quick little post to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. It is, of course, an American holiday that isn’t celebrated in other countries, although I’d like to think we can be thankful for our blessings every day of the year, no matter where we are.

My little Thanksgiving turkey is a bit of a mess. I drew it in pencil, and then — as usual — it wouldn’t scan. So, I grabbed an ink pen and tried to go over my lines. I didn’t do a very good job with it, though. So, here’s my beleaguered-looking turkey wishing you a happy day!

    1. Thank you. The turkey is stuffed and in the oven, we baked two pumpkin pies yesterday, and later today we’ll be traveling to visit my sister who, sadly, is spending the holiday in the hospital.

  1. Happy Thanksgiving beautiful friend! many hugs to your sister and tons of smiles for all your family. I baked one apple pie, one cranberry crostata….and cornbread…the turkey is in the oven and I forgot to buy the cabbage for the cole slaw…. oh well…I am still happy and at peace today….I am so grateful for what I have….including you!

    1. Yes, we had a nice day. It’s about a 90-minute drive to the hospital. My sister is doing better, and she was very glad to have company for the holiday. All in all, we have much to be thankful for.
