It’s Here!

There’s still nearly a month to go before the start of Inktober on October 1, but the official prompt list has now been released. If you’re on the Inktober mailing list, you’ve probably already seen it. For those who aren’t on the list, here it is in all its inky glory:

THE OFFICIAL 2019 INKTOBER PROMPT LIST

Cheeky — my monkey mind — and I are having lots of fun with these prompts. I love so many of these words! Enchanted is a favorite, and, of course, I love treasure, and ghost. Lots of lovely “D” words —  dragon, dizzy, and dark. I’m a bit fond of  overgrown, too.

Will Cheeky and I be using all of these prompt words? Yes and no. Maybe and maybe not. Let me clarify that a bit. Yes, we’ll be using these words, but you might not see them all in the drawings we do. What am I talking about? Well, you’ll just have to wait and see. All I can say for now is that my monkey mind and I are having lots of fun getting ready for Inktober.

How about you? Will you be joining in the fun next month?

    1. I’m not sure exactly what you mean. 😦 The prompt list for Inktober is from Jake Parker’s Inktober website, but following it is optional. I’ll be posting my Inktober drawings here each day during the month, but posting what you draw is more or less optional, too.

  1. I was determined not to do it this year as I’ve already got too much on as it is….

But it is undeniably good fun to participate and couldn’t help but look at the prompts and think “aha! I could do this, that…” 🙄😬😁

    1. LOL… I know what you mean. It’s always fun to let our imagination wander. I know, how it is to be busy. Even if you’re not inking along in October, I hope you’ll drop in to see what my cheeky little monkey mind and I are doing. 🙂

    1. I’ve been planning ahead a bit by looking for good reference photos to use. I have a specific theme/idea in mind this year, so that’s helped me with my “advance planning.” That, and, of course, just getting my supplies ready, plus getting myself into the habit of sitting down and drawing every morning. I look forward to seeing your Inktober creations!
