Beauty in the Bizarre

I don’t know what there is about this silly little watercolor doodle painting, but I am so in love with it. Yep, folks, this is Alien Vegetables all finished up with a bit of gel pen doodling.

Alien Vegetables Flying Through Space

Don’t ask me why I like this so much. I have no idea. But every time I look at it, I smile, and I feel good, and that’s a good reason, I guess, to like something.

It’s silly. It makes no sense. It’s not really very pretty. But I love it all the same. Maybe it’s because I can look at it in different ways and see different things. Or maybe I don’t really need a reason.

It’s bizarre, but to me, it’s beautiful.

    1. LOL… it reminds me so much of weird vegetables… just floating and flying in space. In some ways it’s the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen, but somehow that makes it adorable in some perverse way. It just makes me happy. πŸ™‚

      1. For me it could be vegetables, it could be flowers and growths, it could be something living and it could be something from inside the body πŸ˜€ But when I take a step back it just looks well-balanced πŸ™‚

      2. Oops… I got so excited by your comment that I accidentally hit the wrong button and deleted it! Didn’t mean to do that! It’s so nice to think that there’s some sort of balance to this weird painting. Thank you!

    1. LOL… yes, it does sound a bit like a band πŸ™‚ That silly little painting has been so much fun to look at. It just makes me very happy. I’m glad others are appreciating it, too. I definitely have to frame that one and keep it forever.
