A New Look

Yes, Artistcoveries looks a little different. I’m not happy about it, but apparently the theme I was using was “retired” and no longer available. I switched over to one that is similar, and I’ve done a little “tweaking” to make it feel more like my old blog site. I’m not satisfied with it, so I’ll continue browsing and trying out new blog themes until I find one I really like.

Tell me, please, what do you think of this new look? Is it easy to navigate? Easy to read? I’ve had to give up my “tag cloud” — does anyone miss it? My listing of “Popular Posts” has also been moved now to the footer area. I don’t really like it there, but how do you feel about it?

Hmmm… I notice, too, that other information — such as “About Artistcoveries” has disappeared!  Oh, I’ve found it now. It’s at the bottom of the blog.

You will definitely be seeing more changes in coming days as I continue my search for just the right blog theme! So don’t be surprised when you visit. Who knows what you’ll find!

UPDATE: Testing the portfolio feature. I’m totally lost!

Portfolio

Just a test… trying to figure out what a WordPress “Portfolio” is and how to use it!

  1. Hm, I guess that would explain why I couldn’t “like” the articles I was reading yesterday or respond from my WordPress blog pages. I had to go into my profile as a workaround to access updates and responses. And I guess this also means I will have my work cut out for me updating my site, too, if they’re changing blog structure. Anyway, looks good. 🙂

    1. Yes! Exactly. I was having so much trouble yesterday. I could pull up individual posts, but I couldn’t see my blog. I thought I was going crazy. Finally I realized what was happening. I’m not entirely satisfied with this theme, but it seems to be the best of the ones I’ve tried. I like the idea of the “Portfolio” feature with WordPress now, but I haven’t quite figured out how to use it!

      1. I was looking at that one, too. It might save me having to attach a portfolio from an additional website. I might have questions for you once you figure it out. LoL … Not sure when I will get a chance to upgrade mine. It so badly needs some TLC.
