I’m not a floral artist, but I’ve never let that stop me from painting flowers in the summer. My flowers are always more impressionistic than realistic, more abstract than representational, and maybe you can’t even tell if they’re flowers or not, but I enjoyed painting these “pink flowers” all the same.
I love using thick, textured brush strokes. That was how I created this fanciful, “impressionist abstract” of Pink Flowers. I liked putting these colors together, and I had fun swiping on globs of paint.
Maybe one day I’ll learn to paint real flowers. Until then, I’ll keep right on painting my impressions of summer flowers.

I hope you enjoy this bouquet.
Beautiful 🙂

So did I! That made it really fun to paint these flowers. I love doing impasto brushstrokes, and this seemed perfect for that technique.
