Sketchbook Revival is Coming!

Since the first of the year, I’ve been eagerly awaiting news of Sketchbook Revival 2022. I took part in last year’s Sketchbook Revival, and found it an incredible experience. I won’t say that I emerged from the workshops as a better artist — although that’s probably true — but I will say that I emerged as a stronger artist, with a better sense of who I am and what making art is all about for me.

I expected this year’s revival to begin in January. I soon learned that it was scheduled for March, and so over the last few days I’ve been watching my email inbox, awaiting word from Karen Abend — the host — about the official start.

It’s coming soon!

That said, I can’t give an exact starting date yet, but I can provide you with a link for more information. Please click here — SKETCHBOOK REVIVAL 2022 — to learn more about the program and how you can take part.

I can tell you, too, that a “Pre-Session” video is already available. Just as participants did last year, we’re putting together a hand-made, hand-sewn book which can be used for the rest of the workshops. Maybe you remember my excitement at making my first book! Since then, I’ve made several other books. This year I’ll be making one a bit larger than before, and I’m already gathering up my supplies. Later this morning I’ll watch the video completely through, and today or tomorrow — depending on time — I’ll make my new “link-sewn” book.

I don’t have a list of workshops or presenters, but based on last year’s experience I can say with certainty that there will be a lot of talented artists from around the world, and that they will be working with many different media, making many different creations.

To make sure you’re signed up — the workshops are all free — visit this link: Sketchbook Revival Registration 2022.

If you have any questions, I’ll be glad to share what I know about Sketchbook Revival, or you can email Karen Abend directly. Her email is karen@karenabend.com.

I look forward to sharing the Sketchbook Revival 2022 experience with many of my creative friends!
